We work primarily with steel, stainless steel, aluminum and copper, and provide services throughout the value chain. From product development and production of components to laser cutting, machining, sheet metal, welding and assembly. Many customers are global leaders in their markets.

Engineering & product development

Our engineering & product development team gives you access to excellence in design, materials and production. We can help, offer ideas and test solutions both for new installations as well as product updates. Since the team work closely with production to begin with, we develop cost-effective solutions that make our customers competitive. Everything so that you, the customer, will get the most out of working with us.

Laser Cutting

In order to manufacture the our customers products as efficiently as possible, we keep ourselves updated with the technology of today. We have included two state of the art laser cutters, with a switch table from Trumpf. Maximum material thickness: steel 20 mm, 12 mm stainless steel, and aluminum 10 mm.

Sheet Metal Processing

Our complete machine park offers you cost effective sheet metal processing; punching, cutting and bending.

Bending: With six CNC bending machines, we are able to perform bending of sheet metal components with high pressing force and long bending lengths. We also have a wide array of tools, including a lot of special tools by our own design, especially for customized solutions.

Round Bending: We round bend plates up to 2 meters wide with a plate thickness of 1 to 15 mm.

Gas Cutting: We cut up to 4x2 meters large components with a sheet thickness of 10–100 mm. In 2014, we will invest in a combined gas & plasma cutting machine with a cutting capacity up to 200 mm.

Punching: We have controlled punching machines for both sheet metal and rods. In the effective rod punch we punch steel up to 10 mm, copper up to 16 mm, and aluminum up to 16 mm. In our operated multitool-punch we punch copper, aluminum and stainless steel up to 6 mm.

Plate edge preparation: We also have an plate edge machine that ensure consistent quality before finishing and optimal conditions for welding.

Machining

We have a large modern machine park to meet your machining needs. In 2014 we are stengtheing our porfolio further with a Mazak Integrex i-300 (see picture below) the latest generation multi-tasking machine and a Mazak Quick Turn 100 an efficient turning machine.

Welding

Here you’ll find welding specialists in both robotic and manual welding. Both production facilities are certified to weld by ISO 3834-2; Västerås is also certified for welding railway vehicles by EN 15085-2.

Our staff members are highly skilled in welding. We often perform demanding welding jobs with high precision in steel, stainless steel and aluminum. All welders are licensed and we also have welding specialists with IWS skills. We use several welding processes: MIG, MAG, TIG, MMA and FCAW. In our robotic welding (ABB) CMT technology is also applied.

Assembly

As a supplier of systems it’s important to offer first class installation. Therefore we assemble complete modules in series as single objects. Like the rest of the production, our assembly is flow-oriented and quality-assured.

Materials

Copper

Ellagro is a leader in the production of conductor lines, details and systems in copper. We provice efficient flow-oriented manufacturing and services across the value chain. Our customer base is in Sweden, but we also export live rail to Asia, North America and Europe.

Copper Processing: We work in sheet, rod, tube and strip materials, in materials with a thickness from 0.3 mm up to 60 mm. We perform punching, cutting, and low and high edge bending.

Soldering: Our staff has considerable expertise in soldering. We perform both induction as gas soldering. Everyone on the staff that solder is licensed.

Insulation & Heat Shrink Tubing: We have extensive experience in installation of heat-shrinkable sleeves for live rails. We often work closely with customers to jointly develop the most optimal solutions. We have continuously about 30 heat-shrinkable sleeves on stock.

Insulation & Wrapping: We work with insulation by wrapping glass mica tape and perform both small and large wrapping projects.

Stainless Steel

Our stainless steel team are experts in production of both welded and machine processed constructions. We often perform demanding welding jobs with high precision in material thicknesses from 1 mm to 50 mm. All welders are licensed and we also have welding specialists with IWS skills.

Steel

We have a very strong steel team that has perfected production of both welded and machine processed constructions. We often perform demanding welding jobs with high precision in material thicknesses from 1 mm to 100 mm. All welders are licensed and we also have welding specialists with IWS skills.

Aluminum

We are experienced in both welding and machine processed aluminum constructions. Several of our welders are licensed for aluminum welding and we also have welding specialists with IWS skills.
